Lebanese artist Antony Abi is revolutionizing the art scene with his striking and imaginative hand-painted portraits. Known for his unique pop-art style, Antony Abi’s works blend reality and fantasy, inviting viewers to see beyond the surface of everyday life. His signature exaggerated eye symbolizes a deeper perspective, capturing the intangible complexities of the human spirit.
After earning a degree in marketing and advertising, Antony moved to the Gulf in 2012, where he worked for a multinational oil and gas company. But art had always been his passion. In 2018, Antony decided to take control of his career, launching his own art company while still working full-time. In 2020, he returned to Lebanon and devoted himself entirely to art, crafting a completely new and unique style that has since captivated audiences both regionally and globally.
For him, the eye is the mirror of the soul, and through it, we enter into the depths of the human self and spirit. This is why his art is unique in a world that increasingly views things on a superficial level. Antony’s work is characterized by bold, asymmetrical portraits that often draw inspiration from celebrities, icons, and even cartoon figures. His pieces are not merely portraits; they are an exploration of the coexistence between what is real and what lies beneath. “For the first time, I’m doing what I truly love. Through my art, I express my true self and reflect the best of my creative vision,” says Antony.
Antony Abi’s work is a celebration of individuality, human complexity, and the power of looking deeper into life’s hidden layers. With each portrait, the artist aims to celebrate the human spirit while simultaneously reflecting his homeland’s rich cultural heritage.
